Creative, coastal, contemporary – three essential ingredients that make Delray Beach the popular destination for romantic evenings.Delray Beach has plenty of great dining venues, but picking the right one is important so you can turn a good night out into a great one. Whether you’re looking for a slower pace and classic cuisine or something more cutting-edge contemporary, the perfect dining experience is out there. Consider these three below to set the mood.

The Sundy House

The atmosphere of this historic restaurant makes for a perfect retreat-like evening with a loved one. The restaurant’s Taru Garden out back makes for an Instagram-able scene, as do the rest of the grounds. As you stroll through the grounds, keep an eye out for the animals that call the garden home, along with tropical plants that are native to the area. Make sure to make it back to the dinner table in time for Florida classics served with a modern twist, such as Grilled Octopus with sweet potato and salsa verde, and Crispy Half Chicken with grilled asparagus. Better yet, make it a getaway and stay at The Sundy House’s Boutique Inn to enjoy for the whole weekend.

Atlantic Grille

Blue lighting, dramatically shaped modern architecture, and aquariums for jellyfish and sharks designate the Atlantic Grille as the avant-garde restaurant for a chic, adventurous night out. The menu likes to play with its status, as it features jellyfish themed cocktails (the Sun Jelly is one of our favorites), while also featuring pieces that establish it as a powerhouse in Delray Beach’s dining circuit with plates such as Seared Togarashi Tuna with quinoa fried rice and pineapple salsa.

Mussel Beach

The minute that you walk in, you’ll realize that Mussel Beach lives to defy expectations. A calm white and blue color palette and large windows meet you in the front of the restaurant, while the ceiling is dominated by a large, painted on aquarium scene. This theme continues on the menu with Tuna Tacos decked out with ahi tuna crudo and beer battered avocado and Sweet Potato Encrusted fish with coconut ginger rice and veggies on the side.

Delray Beach has some amazing restaurants reflective of the area’s creativity, but those aren’t the only things that make this city worth visiting with your better half. The white sand beaches and small-town atmosphere makes for a great night out, every time. It’s worth making more than one visit to explore the entire city – or better yet, staying for the whole season. We know once you visit, you’ll probably never want to leave. For those who love being on the ocean, the release of Ocean Delray is certain to capture their attention.
